The Hate Evil Hall Homestead Circa 1797
In 1797, a man named Hate Evil Hall built a center chimney cape at the top of a hill overlooking the Chandler River in Jonesboro, ME. Over the decades, an addition and a second story were added, the center chimney system was removed and replaced with a center hall and staircase. Today, the homestead reflects many different periods of architecture, which add to the charm and character.
